Authentic friendship
Young Life Capernaum leaders meet teens and young adults with disabilities where they are and build bridges of authentic friendship. YL Capernaum leaders can be found doing many things such as cheering on Special Olympics games, attending their friends' musical theater productions, grabbing lunch together, visiting the local coffee shop and playing video games.
Campaigners
A time to learn and grow
A small group gathering for those who want to grow in their faith through exploring the Bible. It's a space to ask real questions about life and what it means to follow Jesus. Friends are given creative options to engage, share, and express their thoughts and questions. YL Capernaum leaders also encourage their friends to grow in their faith through participation in a local church.
Club
Party With A Purpose
We like to say club is a party with a purpose! It's a place where all are welcome. At Young Life Capernaum club, we dance around, play games, build friendships, and share the good news about Jesus. Adaptations and accommodations offered for each friend are rooted in conversations with parents/guardians.
Camp
the Best Week ever
YL Capernaum friends consistently tell us camp is "the best week ever!" It's a week where deep friendships are formed amidst fun and adventure all while experiencing Jesus’ love. YL Capernaum leaders invite their friends to camp through avenues such as local day camps, overnights at a Young Life camp, adventure camp trips and discipleship trips.
